There are many benefits to the use of technology in the classroom as students use technology to access what they need when they need it. They can keep calendars online, and teachers can push due date reminders in a learning management system . Word processors do not need to be sharpened and online books do not get lost. Technology allows students instant access to all the materials they need, saving time, space and mental effort. But technology is also having a bad influence on students as they are slowly becoming too reliant on technology which means their own thinking capacities is diminished as they rely on technology to solve anything. This takes away a students ability to problem solve. Although nobody wants to say anything about it but pass rates have gone up in schools since covid has started not because students have become smarter but rather because they can rely on the internet for the answers they need for tests and assignments instead off challenging themselves intellectually and their own skills to understand the work they have been taught.

I agree with you, technology has played a huge role in improving the way students get information. It has improved the standard of education supplying each student with extra information that we remain stored for future use.

It makes them smarter as they engage with digital devices which are the things we use regularly in our lives and prepares them for life after school as many jobs require people with computer skills. Students can access previous lectures online if if they were not present in school. They learn to work on their own and use internet to access information and knowledge of assignments increasing their reading, writing and computer skills.

Yes, I agree with you, as much as online learning has been helpful in regards to making things easier for students however students have become so reliant on online learning that it will become a huge problem when transitioning to normal learning when the time comes.

The use of technology make students smarter I can say,in such a way that time had changed nowadays technology on students academic journey is the way to go.
But first and for most the introduction of online learning made the lifes of student easier in their endovours,since they were unable to attend in campus .So the use of Technology by students made a very pivitol change.

Well said colleague this Covid 19 has made learners not to think and not to study, knowing what it will be asked they cheat when the test is written and teachers have no plan to stop that because they do not know what is happening in one’s time when she or he writes the tests. I believe that it has made students lazy and cheaters.

I totally agree with you technology has helped us a lot and has its positives but it can also have a negative impact because students become very reliant on it and also it becomes a distraction.
